YouTube is the world's greatest learning platform. It's also engineered to keep you watching as long as possible through autoplay, algorithmic recommendations, Shorts, and clickbait. CleanTube was built to fix that. I am a solo developer who got tired of losing hours to YouTube's attention traps.
So I built the tool I wished existed: a lightweight Chrome extension that strips away distractions and adds the productivity tools YouTube should have built itself. I don't collect data. I don't run servers. I don't charge money. CleanTube runs entirely on your machine and answers only to you.
